Bursera fagaroides

Pachycaule plant from the area that stretches from southern Arizona to central and western Mexico. The short, thick trunk and first branches serve as water and food storage, enabling the plant to withstand prolonged drought. They are very similar to bonsai or mini baobab.
The trunk and thickest branches are grey-green and covered with a parchment-like layer that often falls off. Thin dark-coloured twigs sprout from the thick branches, which later also turn grey-green. The plant has small oval leaves.
