This is the famous Idria columnaris nicknamed Boojum tree or Cirio.
Endemic to Baja California, the 1,000-km-long Mexican peninsula on the west coast of America, except for one location in the western state of Sonora.
Iconic plant with a bizarre appearance, member of the Fouquieria family, can grow to specimens of 20 metres.
Frost-resistant to around -10 C.
Rare plant that is almost never offered.
