Yucca faxoniana

Yucca faxoniana is a very large and heavy species with stiff green leaves up to 125 cm in length which form a very symmetrical head. The leaves develop on the outskirts short, very thin white hair. The trunk can be 30-50 cm thick. The plant grows in the northern part of the Chihuahuan Desert and in the state Coahuile (Mexico), south of Big Bend and the Trans-Pecos region of West Texas. Y. faxoniana is more robust than Y. carnerosana and possibly even more resistant to cold and drought. Perhaps the hardest type of big yuccas.faxoniana-fotos-februari-2008-085
