Yucca rostrata
Yucca rostrata is originally from northeastern Mexico and West Texas. The grandest of the desert yuccas has a large number of long, soft blue-green to blue-gray leaves about 40-60 cm in length which is almost a complete sphere shape.
The plant usually has one stem, but branches at a height of 2 to 4 m. The inflorescence is about 100-140 cm tall and has a large number of fleshy cream to white flowers.
The plant can easily withstand temperatures down to -20˚ C provided it is rooted well. The old leaves cover the trunk to the ground but are often cut off until shortly below the head.
